This is the season for elections in our nation.  It is also the year the Society of St. Anna the Prophet elects our next Superior.

Sisters gathered on August 1, 2026 (or designated a proxy) to elect the new leader to succeed Anna Peggy Courtright.  She steps down at the 2027 Convocation having fulfilled her 5 year term in office. The meeting began with a Liturgy of the Word with an inspiring homily by Anna Eloise and the vote was held before continuing on to the Eucharist. After announcing the results we joyfully congratulated our new Superior, JoAnna Pritcher, and await her installation in February 2027.

Elections are sacred obligations blessed by God. This is our prayer for our nation as we prepare for national elections in November.

God, our creator, guide us in truth and love as we prepare for elections in our nation.  Help us to see how our faith informs our choices and preserve our people and democracy. Amen.
