Second Retreat to the Hinton Retreat Center in Hayesville, NC

Our second vow retreat on the vow of Simplicity was held in August in the beautiful mountains of Hayesville, NC. We spent our time there exploring the Contemplative Experience of the Enneagram! Each of us learned our Enneagram type and how to use the rich information about our types to enhance our personal well being and our relationships with each other. Our leader was Mary Jo Ruccio, a spiritual director gifted in the Narrative Tradition of the Enneagram. Our mealtimes and prayer times and relaxation together are essential to our retreat experience.

Third Retreat to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, GA

Our third retreat on the vow of Creativity was held at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in nearby Conyers. Our gifted leader was the Rev. Ruth Pattison of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church. She guided us to experience a truly Celtic time of year (we were there October 20, All Hallow’s Eve and All Saints Day) in new ways. Inspired by Rev Pattison’s book, we used rocks and leaves, and fabric and paints to find God in the Natural Elements. We infused our prayers with the wonders of nature. We truly found God in Nature.
